Sarfraz Kassam

Co-Founder and Managing Director

Sarfraz is the Managing Director & Co- Founder of EduKwanza. He has been working in the education consulting space since 2017 both internationally and locally and has helped hundreds of students navigate their way into their best-fit universities. Sarfraz has visited and reached out to universities and colleges from all over the world to collaborate and partner with them so our students can get a large variety of study institutions to choose from. Sarfraz also assists students in planning their education journey. His area of expertise is counselling and advisory services for students applying to high school, boarding school, undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA in Canada and Dubai. Sarfraz is a hotelier by profession and an excellent cook. He is an Adrenaline junkie and his favorite adventure was bungee jumping from Bloukrans Bridge, world’s highest commercial bungy jumping site. Travelled to 22 countries and counting.

Jimmy Samwel

Head of Applications & Visa Specialist
Program Counsellor – Europe Lead

Jimmy is Head of Applications and Programme Counsellor at EduKwanza. He is an ICEF Trained Agent Counsellor. Jimmy’s expertise lies in assisting students to make successful applications to institutions all over Europe. He specializes in visa applications and our students have had 95% success rate with his assistance for visa applications to countries all over the world. Jimmy is passionate about what he is doing and our students love him. He has assisted many students in achieving their dreams to study abroad and we always hear them appreciating Jimmy’s good work. Jimmy loves to read, swim and going on adventures.

Disha Kassam

Marketing Manager

Disha is the Marketing Manager at EduKwanza. She is responsible for strategy development and planning of marketing campaigns to promote EduKwanza and the various universities EduKwanza is partnered with. She also creates engaging and informative content for the website, social media and other content marketing channels. Disha loves to food travel and try cuisines from all around the world. She cannot travel without her Kindle and her music. Beach > Mountains | Sushi >> Pizza

Alefiya Khuzeima

Program Counsellor – UAE Lead

Alefiya is a program counsellor at EduKwanza and also a second year student at one of the universities she assists in recruiting for. She assists students in planning their education journey and making successful applications to institutions in the UAE.

Alefiya likes cooking, baking and watching movies in her free time.


Ziana Manji

Program Counsellor – Career Counsellor

Apart from being a Program Counsellor at Edukwanza, Ziana is also a third year student majoring in Psychology at the United States International University – Africa. She is our in house personal statement and resume expert, helping students edit their drafts and make their college/university application stand out. Ziana loves to read, write, and listen to music. She is also very intuitive when it comes to understanding people’s emotions.

Felician Songoma

Program Counsellor – Asia Lead

Felician supports students exploring study opportunities across Asia, guiding them through applications, admissions, and choosing the right university fit.

Outside work, Felician enjoys travelling, music and staying active. He’s also a lowkey great singer (don’t ask him to sing though, unless you catch him in a good mood).

Ramadhani Mussa

Program Counsellor – Eurasia & Africa Lead

Ramadhani is a program counsellor at EduKwanza, specializing in Mauritius, Malaysia, Cyprus and Turkey. He has unfolded numerous students’ career journeys through these destinations.

Professionally, Ramadhani is a Chemistry and Biology teacher with exceptional experience in curriculum development and analysis together with youth empowerment especially in Leadership, Management and Diversity Issues.

He spends his time after work in Creative Writing (Op-ed journals) and learning digital skills like website development, Graphics Design and Social Media Management while weekend chilling with his family, watching or playing football.


William Owade

Program Counsellor – Kenya

William Owade is a Program Counsellor at EduKwanza who is based out of Nairobi, KenyaHis role involves guiding students through university selection, applications, scholarships and settlement processes, while ensuring that they receive the right information and trusted support. He also works closely with parents, schools and institutions across North and West Africa.

He is passionate about empowering young people to believe in their potential and take bold steps toward an international future.

Beyond work he enjoys travelling, networking, mentoring youth through community work and engaging in different Languages. He can speak French, German and Korean too. Football is his first love. He also loves to explore new cultures and have great conversations that inspire growth and positivity.


Mariyah Badri

Marketing Executive

Mariyah is a Marketing Executive at EduKwanza, focusing on social media and digital presence. She manages content, plans posts, and ensures the brand stays engaging and consistent across all platforms. With a creative mindset and attention to detail, she brings EduKwanza’s online presence to life.

When she’s not crafting posts or analyzing trends, she enjoys photography , baking and finding inspiration in everyday moments. She’s always looking for fresh ideas and ways to make digital content shine.


Beckharden Buruya

Program Counsellor – Arusha

Beckharden Buruya serves as a Program Counsellor at EduKwanza – Arusha Branch, where he guides students through one of the most important journeys of their lives: planning their education and securing successful university and college applications. In simple terms, he helps turn academic dreams into well-organized action plans.

He is professionally balanced between introversion and extroversion (depending on his coffee levels and the audience). He has a strong passion for traveling because the world is the best classroom and genuinely enjoys learning new things (curiosity is his permanent hobby). In his free time, you’ll either find him watching movies, crafting stories, or attentively listening to others a storyteller by talent and a listener by choice.


Aisha Hassan

Office Assistant

Always smiling, Aisha is a delight to have around the office. She brings us coffee every morning, and we all know without coffee our team would fall apart. In her free time in the office, she likes to read and learn about the services we offer and about the many Universities around the world.
